Shein Desk Decor & Organisation Haul

Remember when Shein were just known for their clothes? These days it seems like you can get almost anything on the site - including super cute desk items! I was in desperate need of one thing in particular, so while I was at it I grabbed seven other items that will make it much nicer to be in my home office - more comfortable, more convenient and more cute, of course!

Desktop USB Humidifier - AUD $4.95

The weather is cooling down here in Australia as we enter autumn, and every good beauty girl knows a little humidity is good for the skin. Our drier winters are a nice change from our subtropical humid summers, but I typically spend all winter accidentally zapping things with static electricity. I have an oily/dehydrated skin type, so I’m hoping this little desktop friend will help me keep my skin a little more hydrated, if nothing else. And it’s very cute!

The enclosed English instructions aren’t very clear - it looks like they’ve just dumped the Chinese instructions into Google Translate and hoped for the best - but helpful reviewers have translated them on the Shein website so I’ll know what to do when I go to use this humidifier for the first time.

Solid Colour Desktop Garbage Can - Grey - AUD $13.95

This tiny bin is the whole reason I made this order in the first place. Anyone who works with collage or sticker-based bullet journal, junk journal or art journal systems will know you can very quickly end up with your desk COVERED in sticker backings and paper offcuts very quickly. I wanted a cute bin I could keep on my desk to shove all those little bits in as I work, and it turns out it’s VERY hard to find an aesthetic desktop bin! I found one I preferred on Mini-So but unfortunately they no longer stock it, and this one from Shein was the next best thing.

The bin construction is a bit dodgy - the white ring you see a little below the top of the bin is a collar that helps keep the lid in place over the base of the bin, and if you pick the bin up wrong it falls off easily which could be disastrous if your bin is full! If you decide to buy this bin, I recommend always handling it from the bottom!

Plain Jewelry Box with 20 Pc Clear Bags - AUD $4.21

I have no intention to use this jewelry box for jewelry! Instead, I plan to use it to organise and store my stickers! At the moment I’m keeping them in an A5 display folder, and it’s bulky and ineffective and barely fits in my desk drawer. I'll separate the stickers my colour and type and keep them in this box in my drawer instead, and hopefully my sticker sorting issues will be solved forever! Fingers crossed the 20 clear bags are enough…

Random Colour Template Ruler - AUD $3.95

I haven’t had much luck with templates in the past, but I have high hopes for this one! A 20cm ruler and a circle template in one, this little friend is destined to help me make cute wreath and moon designs. It’s a nice firm acrylic - a little flexible but not TOO flexible - and I got lucky with the blue colour way. Shein lists lots of items as a “random” selection from their range of colours - you don’t get to choose the variation, though they all do the same thing. I didn’t especially care which colour I got!

Desktop Tablet Holder - Gold - AUD $3.95

As someone who works from home, and does quite a bit of the kind of work that can be done with music or a podcast or even a movie on in the background - this tablet holder might just be a game changer. Now I can watch Bridgerton while I edit those photos, without taking my whole laptop setup to the couch! Win! I can see it being really handy for anyone who keeps a tablet handy in their kitchen for recipes while they cook too!

Fair warning - this little holder got a little bent out of shape in transit and looked a bit sad when it arrived. It was easy enough to bend back into shape - it had only warped a little - and I have no qualms with it. It also comes in other metallic options - I just really like gold for my home decor!

Desktop Phone Holder - Gold - $3.95

I’m happy to report this one didn’t arrive misshapen! Does anyone really NEED a stand for their phone? No. But I do like the idea of having it in a specific spot on my desk, and the habit building that can come from remembering to put something back in a specific spot after each use. I also love that this phone stand has been designed with a bit of space under the part that cradles your phone, so you can pop the charging cable in while your phone is on the stand.

The gold of the phone stand and the gold of the tablet stand aren’t a perfect match, but they’re close enough that it doesn’t bother me - I won’t be cracking out the spray paint for these ones!

Random Colour Pointed Tweezers - AUD $1.95

I’ve noticed a lot of sticker-users peeling and placing their stickers with tweezers in videos of late, and it piqued my interest. My first thought was “why? You have fingers!” Then I remembered how much time I spend cutting out my own fights with sticker backings from my videos and I thought, “heck, maybe they’re onto something.” Flash forward to the present day, and I’m the proud new owner of my very own pair of sticker tweezers. I’ll keep you posted on my thoughts - are they really useful? Watch this space!

1 Bundle Artificial Gypsophila - White Baby’s Breath Flowers - AUD $1.95

This is probably my least-favourite item from this haul. I was expecting a much fluffier and bigger posey of baby’s breath, and this little sprig is a bit sad. It LOOKS fake - I know plastic flowers don’t often look real, but it looks even more fake than my usual K-Mart fake flowers - but once mixed in with some others it starts to look OK. I wouldn’t recommend this one!

Total Cost + Shipping Time

My order came to AU $39.60 in total, brought down to $34.67 with a Honey discount code. Shipping for this one was free - though I’m not entirely sure why!

I placed my order on March 27, and it arrived on April 4, meaning my items only took one week to reach me.

Would you use any of the items in this post? Which is your favourite, and why? Let me know in the comments!
