How I Organise my Washi Tape Collection

Washi tapes are a tricky one to store! There are so many ideas out there online, but I wanted to share my method for a medium-sized washi tape collection.

I prefer to keep all my stationery supplies tucked away where possible. I absolutely adore seeing other people’s amazing desk setups on Instagram, but my desk is a combination of workplace/video studio/journaling chill out zone, and I find I work MUCH better in all of those areas when things are clean, tidy and organised. That’s why I like to keep all my washis (and pens, and stickers, and everything else) in my desk drawers! I specifically chose a desk with eight drawers built in - it was a secondhand marketplace find and its glass top also makes it really easy to keep clean!

The hero of my washi organisation system is this cardboard pastel desk tidy from Officeworks. It has removable compartments inside, and slides nicely into my desk drawer with a little bit of space on one side. It took a bit of experimenting, but I can fit almost my whole washi tape collection in it!

To be fair, I have quite a bit of washi tape. I know there are others out there with more than I have, but I am actually really happy with the variety of my collection and am not keen on expanding it until I’ve used some of my washis up!

Check out the video above to organise with me and see how it all comes together in the end (as well as take a peek at what’s in my washi tape collection)
