February Reading Journal Spreads + What I Read in January

I’m having SO much fun chronicling my reads this year! Here’s a look at everything I read in January, as well as the setup for my February tracker pages.

Check out the Youtube video below to see how I put it all together, or scroll down to see photos!

February Reading Spreads - Cover & Reading Stats Pages

I’m going to an ACOTAR-themed ball in February and I’ve been excited about it for MONTHS, so I’m really leaning into the classy fantasy vibes for the monthly pages in this spread! I’ve gone for soft greens, contrasted with deep black and pops of gold.

The cover spread is just for fun - I love doing it! The reading stats page I’ll fill out at the end of the month. It has spaces for the number of books I finish, the average rating for the month, number of pages read, genre list and format pie chart, as well as a space to put the cover of my standout book for the month. I used some really fun frame stamps for this!

Reading Progress Tracker & Maybe Next (TBR) Pages

On the left page, I’ve set up a calendar - as I start and finish books, I’ll use different shades of green pens to record my progress over this calendar. Under that is my “Maybe Next” section - that’s my name for my TBR, or “To Be Read” list. I feel like “Maybe Next is less pressure, and I don’t read many physical books so I don’t really have a bookcase to work my way through.

On the right page, I’ll add covers and ratings for any other books I read in February. The two titles already there are my book club reads for the month, and I’m pretty confident I will read them both so I went ahead and included them preemptively.

Book Club Spreads

The Page Mages is my own book club, which I run as part of my Youtube channel memberships. If you’d like to join us you can do that here! Our Page Mages pick for February is What You Are Looking For Is In the Library by Michiko Aoyama. I’ll send the Page Mages a list of questions that we’ll discuss in our book club meeting (which we do over Discord) so I like having two pages - one for the questions, and one for me to fill out the way I do my other reading journal review pages.

The Literary Ladies is a book club I have with some friends - it’s very low-pressure and I don’t run this one, so one page is enough for most months! Our book for February is Sleep by CL Taylor - it’s very different to my usual reads, it’ll be interesting to see how it goes!
