October 2022 Romantic Vintage Bullet Journal

Is it possible to make a layout that works for both spring and autumn? Turns out, it is! My October bujo is applicable to either hemisphere, and has a lil extra spread to celebrate my birthday too. Watch it all come together in my Plan With Me video below, or scroll down to see photos and links!

Quote and cover page

You can tell when I’m feeling indulgent - that’s when cover pages and quote pages happen! I was so excited about the Petals and Parchment washi tape set and I wanted to use it on as many spreads as possible!

I picked a quote that seems appropriate to growing (older, wiser, whatever!) and used my paint pens with some stamps to help add some classy lil frames along with my washi layers and stamped headings.

Calendar Spread

I wanted this calendar to look very fresh and clean, so I’ve stuck to horizontal lines only. I made the spaces for each day a little smaller than usual to ensure maximum decoration room on each side!

Goals, Musings & Currently Page; Habit Tracker Page

I love having space for monthly goals, so I can stay on track for yearly goals by breaking them down into smaller ones month by month. The Musings section is for whatever is on my mind, and Currently is for what I’m into that month - music, movies, TV, books, food phases, favourite colours - anything!

Content Planner Spread

A slightly more spacious version of the calendar spread, this is where I plan out my Youtube videos, Instagram and blog posts for the month. I colour code them with Frixion pens, so it won’t look quite so cohesive once it’s filled in with fluoro pink and yellow, but it really does help! I use this spread in tandem with the app Later to schedule my IG content, and Youtube and Squarespace’s built-in scheduling tools.

Spending & Mood Tracker Pages

The classic spending tracker page still hasn’t changed - if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it, right? The mood tracker for October stumped me for a while - I wanted it to feel at home in the theme but I didn’t want to do too much illustration, or rely on certain stickers to represent certain moods so I’ve ended up with a classic leaf mood tracker. I’ll colour in a leaf for each day. Since the paint pens I’ve used throughout this setup would obscure the outlines of the leaves, I’ve chosen some normal brush pens for this page instead.

35 Things I Love Spread

October is my birthday month! Last year I themed my October pages around Halloween, then added a separate set of pages for Birthday Self-Care Things. This year I wanted to make a theme that felt appropriate for my birthday month, and incorporate the self-care into the monthly pages - hence why my XX Things I Love spread (it was 34 last year, this year it’s 35 - guess why!) has found its way into my October set up.

Weekly Spread

I saw a similar weekly posted on Instagram by @allmysunshineco and knew I wanted to use it as the inspiration for my October weeklies! I love how came together - but I do wish I had number stamps to go with my letter stamps.
