January 2021 - Stamps for Lazy Bullet Journaling

How do you make your journal pretty if you can’t draw? Stamps, stickers, papers and washi tapes!

I’ve kept to stamps for this layout - these butterfly and floral and leafy stamps came from Wish. The stamps pads I’d had forever - I usually use them for logo stamps on products for my photo biz!

Which Dotted Journal Am I Using in 2021?

It was tricky (to say the least) to find a bullet journal perfectly sized to fit my stunning Mimco notebook cover, which was a birthday gift from wonderful friends, but the Notebook Therapy original size Tsuki journals have solved all my problems. They’re a little smaller than a standard A5 book and I actually prefer to the size of my old A5 Leuchtturms, which I have been using since I got started bullet journaling in September 2017!

In this layout:

January 2021 calendar - a little different to the usual, this grid calendar runs vertically! The days of the week are down the left hand side so it runs from top to bottom, then left to right. I sometimes add a cover page, but I wasn’t feeling it this month!

January goals page - I don’t usually include monthly goals pages, but I’m trying something new! Hoping that monthly goals will keep me on track for my yearly goals - watch this space!

Gratitude, habit and skincare tracker - I like combining these trackers into one spread! A few grateful words each day down the left column, and a dot in the space for each of my habits and skincare tasks. I have a pretty involved routine but also sensitive skin, so I like to keep track of skincare things like exfoliating acids and micro needling so I can’t accidentally overdo it.

Expense tracker - every cent I spend in the month, I’ll write down here. I used to stretch these over two pages, but I’ve condensed it down to two tables on a single page. On the last day of each month I tally up the total spent across each category, and transfer it back into my overall 2021 spending tracker.

Weekly spreads - Usually I like to keep whole weeks (Monday to Sunday) together, but it doesn’t feel right at the beginning of a year. The first three days get their own spread opposite the expense tracker, with a few stamps, and then after that I got lazy and didn’t add stamps to my weeklies.

Keen on this layout but don’t know where to start?

You can grab it as a printable on my Etsy store! Unfortunately I couldn’t include the stamp decorations, since they aren’t my intellectual property, but I have created a minimal lavender version of the spreads so you can still use it if you vibe with it. You can use it in any month in any year, not just January 2021. Just fill out the numbers for the month you want and you’re ready to get planning.
